Former PGA Tour Pro and US Open record holder, Doug is also a Golf Digest South Carolina Top-Ten Instructor and Golf Magazine Top in the Region Instructor. His weekly TV Show and monthly golf tips have made him something of a celebrity on Hilton Head Island. Doug has years of teaching experience under his belt, and has played and practiced with Vijay Singh, Retief Goosen, Tom Watson, Payne Stewart, Fred Funk and many others. 1983, and has been

1986. A graduate
from Presbyterian
College, Clark
especially enjoys
using video analysis
as a teaching aid
for golf students.
Clark has the distinction
of being one of

Wolfe has been a member
of the Palmetto Dunes
staff since 1986 and
a teaching professional
since 1988. Entertaining
and affable, Samm believes
he can fix anything that
is broken with your swing – while
you're having fun. He
has taught students from
all over the U.S. as
well as Switzerland,
France, Germany, Canada
and England. |

Lindsey Letzig, Golf

Lindsey Letzig, from Richmond, Missouri, is our LPGA Instructor. She leads our Ladies Only and Junior Girls Programs. Learning as a fulltime student at the David Leadbetter Academy, she became a star performer for the Coastal Carolina University Golf Team. Her approach is gentle for novices, and she can easily answer all the questions from an aspiring advanced player. Golf runs in the family, as her brother Michael Letzig is on the PGA Tour. In her appointment here at Palmetto Dunes she has developed many faithful and satisfied students of all skill levels. |

Keith Marks, Golf Instructor - Arthur Hills
|

For nearly half a century Keith Marks Sr has been teaching people how to play better golf. His writings, seminars and clinics have spanned nine different countries. Formerly a staff instructor with Golf Magazine, it was through a recommendation by the British Golf Foundation that he was retained by the Argentine Golf Association to upgrade their teaching methodology. In 1990 his programs produced three National Champions in that country. Keith has influenced literally hundreds of students from rank beginners to professional players in their quest towards improving their game. His teaching has been heavily influenced by his long relationship with the legendary Sam Snead.

Mike
began teaching in 1990
under two Top 100 instructors
and received his PGA
Class A status in 1995.
Mike is wonderful with
juniors and now has two
of his own children to
look forward to coaching

Frank Jones, Golf Instructor - Robert Trent Jones

Frank has been enjoying golf for over 70 years and helping others enjoy it for 50 years. As a player Frank has scored 60 twice in competition. This accomplishment lets us know he has a vast amount of knowledge that he graciously shares. He competes in Senior Events in this stage of his life and he does well. He is from Danville, Virginia, and has taught golf at several fine golf clubs around he country. He can help you score lower.

Alex
graduated from Oglethorpe
University in Atlanta,
GA in May of 2005 with
his B.S. in Business
Administration with a
concentration in marketing.
Prior to joining our
staff, Alex studied under
Golf
Magazine's Top 100 teaching
professional Mike Perpich.
Alex joins Gavin Grenville-Wood
in being fully trained
with the Vector Launch
Monitor and our "Custom
Fitting Experience". |

George
graduated from the San
Diego Golf Academy in
April of 2005 and has
a bachelor's degree in
finance from Siena College,
in Albany, NY. George
has been enhancing his
teaching abilities by
working under teaching
professional Doug Weaver
and enjoys working with
golfers of all ages and
skill levels. |

Edward Sires, Assistant Professional - Arthur Hills |

A Charleston,
SC native, Edward caddied
for Ryder Cup Captain
Tom Lehman in ‘82 & '83.
He got his Class A
certificate from the
PGA in 1997, taught the
James Island High School
Golf Team from 2002 to
Present and Learned under
Director of Instruction
Tommy Cuthbert at Kiawah
Island Golf Resort. Edward
is a certified club fitter
from Golfsmith 2005.
Ed enjoys surfing, going
to the beach with his
dog, Scooby Doo, playing
Texas Hold'em, & fishing. |
