Doug Weaver, Director of InstructionLPGA Symbol

A former PGA Tour Pro and US Open record holder, Doug Weaver is also a Golf Digest South Carolina Top-Ten Instructor. His weekly TV show and monthly golf tips have made him somewhat of a celebrity on Hilton Head Island. Doug has many years of teaching experience and has played and practiced with Vijay Singh, Retief Goosen, Tom Watson, Payne Stewart, Fred Funk and many others. Let Doug teach you what he's learned.

Clark Sinclair, Head Professional - Arthur HillsLPGA Symbol

Clark Sinclair has been a member of the Palmetto Dunes staff since 1983 and has been teaching since 1986. He is a graduate of Presbyterian College. Clark especially enjoys using video analysis as a teaching aid for golf students. At six-foot, eight-inches, he has the distinction of being one of the tallest PGA members.

Samm Wolfe, Head Professional - George FazioLPGA Symbol

Samm Wolfe has been a member of the Palmetto Dunes staff since 1986 and a teaching professional since 1988. Entertaining and affable, Samm believes he can fix any broken golf swing - while you're having fun. He has taught students from all over the U.S. as well as Switzerland, France, Germany, Canada and England.

Lindsey Letzig, Golf Instructor - Robert Trent JonesLPGA Symbol

Lindsey Letzig, from Richmond, Mo., is the Palmetto Dunes Golf Academy's LPGA Instructor and leads the resort's Ladies Only and Junior Girls programs. While a full-time student at the David Leadbetter Academy, she became a star performer for the Coastal Carolina University Golf Team. While her approach is gentle for novices, she can answer any question posed by a golfer who aspires to play at an advanced level. Golf runs in her family. Her brother, Michael Letzig, is on the PGA Tour. Since assuming her post as the LPGA Instructor at Palmetto Dunes Oceanfront Resort, Lindsey has worked with many satisfied students at all skill levels.

Keith Marks, Golf Instructor - Arthur HillsLPGA Symbol

For nearly half a century, Keith Marks has been teaching people to play better golf. His writings, seminars and golf clinics have improved the skills of players in nine countries. Formerly a staff instructor with Golf Magazine, Marks was retained by the Argentine Golf Association to upgrade its teaching methods following a recommendation from the British Golf Foundation. In 1990, his teaching programs produced three national champions in Argentina. Keith has worked with literally hundreds of students from beginners to professional players, aiding them in their quest to improve their game. His teaching methods were heavily influenced by his long relationship with the legendary Sam Snead.

Mike Guy, Assistant Professional - George FazioLPGA Symbol

Mike Guy began teaching in 1990 under two Top 100 instructors and earned PGA Class A status in 1995. He is wonderful with juniors and has two children of his own. An accomplished assistant professional who knows the George Fazio Course inside and out, he excels at teaching golfers of all skill levels, especially juniors.

Frank Jones, Golf Instructor - Robert Trent JonesLPGA Symbol

Frank Jones has been enjoying golf for more than 70 years and helping others to enjoy it for 50 years. As a player, he has scored 60 twice in competition. Frank generously shares his vast knowledge of the game with willing students. At this stage of his life, he competes and does very well in senior golf events. Frank is a native of Danville, Va. He has taught golf at several fine clubs around the country.

Edward Sires, Assistant Professional - Arthur HillsLPGA Symbol

A Charleston, S.C., native, Edward Sires caddied for Ryder Cup Captain Tom Lehman in 1982 and 1983. He earned a Class A certificate from the PGA in 1997 and has taught the James Island High School Golf Team from 2002 to the present. He honed his golf skills while working with Tommy Kuthbert, director of instruction at Kiawah Island Golf Resort, and earned a certificate in club fitting from Golfsmith International in 2005.

Alex Magowitz, Assistant Professional, Robert Trent JonesLPGA Symbol

Alex Magowitz earned a B.S. with a concentration in marketing at Oglethorpe University in Atlanta, Ga., in May 2005. Before joining the staff at Palmetto Dunes Oceanfront Resort, Alex studied under Golf Magazine's Top 100 teaching professional Mike Perpich. Alex has been fully trained in the Vector Launch Monitor and the "Custom Fitting Experience."

George Spinella, Assistant Professional, George Fazio CourseLPGA Symbol

George Spinella graduated form the San Diego Golf Academy in 2005 and in 2003 he earned a bachelor's degree in finance at Siena College, in Albany, N.Y. He is the 1st Assitant Golf Professional at the George Fazio Golf Course here in Palmetto Dunes. George has been teaching in Palmetto Dunes for 3 years and enjoys working with golfers of all ages and skill levels.
